GIANT DREAMS: THE BFG LITERACY PROGRAMME
Giant Dreams: The BFG’s Literacy Programme is an upcoming new literacy initiative developed in partnership with the National Literacy Trust, seeking to capture the hopes and dreams of young people in the UK. Artichoke Trust in association with the The Roald Dahl Story Company, is inviting primary schools and educators to take part in free, fun and creative literacy-based activities inspired by Roald Dahl’s classic.
Take part to get young people excited about reading and writing, for their enjoyment and educational gain. After completing The BFG’s quest, dreams will be compiled and uploaded onto the programme website, documenting a national snapshot of their stories.
Registered educators will receive:
📌 A ready-made suite of creative and literacy-based activities that meet UK-wide literacy curriculum outcomes
📌 CPD and planning resources to support every step of the way
📌 The chance for children’s dreams to be celebrated on a national scale
The project will run from February to March 2027, and registration is open now!
