Seaton Delaval Hall has put together a comprehensive Teacher Pack to support with planning your school trip. This includes information on drop-offs, toilets, lunches, wet weather contingencies and hazard identifications: Seaton Delaval Hall Teachers Pack
Cost: The most cost effective way to visit Seaton Delaval Hall is with an Education Group Access Pass. This pass provides your school, college or learning environment with free admission to most National Trust places free of charge for a full year. Home education or not-for-profit education group passes cost £63 for a year. For profit education groups are £189. Find out more about Education Group Access Pass and apply now.
Education group visit days: During the autumn term we can offer visits on Wednesday, Thursdays and Fridays. In the spring and summer terms we offer visits on Wednesdays and Thursdays. Please note that we are unable to accommodate visits on Mondays and Tuesdays.
Booking with us: We ask for four weeks’ notice for facilitated school visits, and two weeks’ notice for self-led visits. Please be aware that visits book up quickly, especially for dates towards the end of the summer term and we recommend booking well in advance.
Capacity: We can accommodate up to 60 students per visit.
Opening Times: We can offer visits from 10am. The hall itself opens at 11am as standard; please contact us with at least four weeks’ notice if you require earlier access. The site closes at 5pm.
Bespoke offers: Is there something on your curriculum that we don’t cover? We’re more than happy to design extra resources or activities that highlight the teaching going on in your classroom. Contact us to see how we can develop a bespoke offer to suit your curriculum needs.
Self-led visits: If you are visiting on a self-led basis, please book in advance if your group is larger than 15 students. As part of your visit, you may pre-book resources including lunch spaces, clipboards, compasses, magnifying glasses and craft supplies.
